Trust, drawn into the plan.

Tro is a Danish and Norwegian word for trust, faith and belief. It names what we believe an architectural practice should be built on, and what an injured client and their family should be able to expect from the people designing their home.

WHAT WE DO

Architecture for life after serious injury.

Tro Architecture is a specialist practice working with injured clients, their families and the professional teams supporting them. We design and adapt homes that hold up to the weight of daily life. Every line on every drawing is a decision about how a person will live tomorrow. We treat that responsibility as the centre of the work, not a footnote to it.

HOW WE WORK

Quietly thorough. Unhurried where it matters.

We sit alongside case managers, occupational therapists, solicitors and Court of Protection deputies to translate clinical needs and legal frameworks into spaces that feel like home. The result is a building that meets the brief on paper and answers the smaller, harder questions in the lived experience of the people inside it.

Trust as method

Trust is not a soft word here. It is the working principle behind how we listen, how we record, how we draw and how we build.

Homes designed to adapt and last

We design with an instinct: a home as a place of refuge through long winters and difficult seasons. The homes we design wear in rather than wear out.

A small, considered practice

We take on a small number of projects to ensure that each one receives the attention it deserves, from first conversation to handover day.

For the referrers

Case managers, solicitors, deputies and occupational therapists require a lot from an adaptation specialist on a serious injury case: clarity on costs, drawings the client and family can understand, and a steady presence through the months and years between brief and competition.

Tro Architecture is built around those expectations.
